My favorite part of Thanksgiving is the delicious sides. There is such a huge variety, and fall flavors are my favorite. I absolutely love all the different squash, roasted greens, and creative twists to make them tasty!
Pumpkin, maple, cinnamon, cranberry…the list is long and beautiful! Any I’m missing that you love?
…I know. Some people might be upset it’s not the turkey, but usually I dip the turkey in the candied sweet potatoes, or pair it with green beans or these brussel sprouts.
Brussel sprouts are typically served…wrong in my opinion. Steaming them or boiling them makes them absolutely inedible and pungent.
There will be lots of heavy, rich sides that will show up for the holidays and throughout the season. Offsetting that with a bursting flavorful dish like this one is something you won’t regret. I know that my family always asks if I’ll leave the leftovers with them when dinner is over.
This gorgeous side takes a total of 30 minutes (prep time to end time) and is the perfect combo of toasty savory and sweet! The bacon versus the maple with a pop of craisins will blow your mind. Wow your family for Thanksgiving this year and try it out!
