Have you gotten to a point where quite suddenly you realize you are always tired (every day) and you blame it on the fact that six months ago you were single, kidless, had time to workout and hike, working the same job you had been for years, and living with no obligations with your mom…and now all that is changed?
No? Just me? 🤣
Ok ok yes. In 6 months, I’ve gotten married to a super fun goofball, been gifted three crazy rambunctious children, changed to an adult nursing job, sold a house, and am now moving out to the stix to build a homestead. So you would think I have an excuse. Right?
No Excuses
Well yes. And no. Because my excuses aren’t serving me. They are only stopping me from getting those baseline energy levels back faster in my new life. I have options for simple, healthy choices at every meal. Therefore, do I need to choose them every time? Nope. But I do need to choose them most of the time if I want to have my forever-young energy back!
Believe it or not it takes just as much time to get out (and put away) all the ingredients to pour a bowl of raspberry chocolate Chex cereal as it does to pull out some leftover chicken, lay it over a bed of spinach, crush some nuts up, and drizzle it in olive oil and white balsamic vinegar.
…And if you happen to have an adorable little one who loves to dote on you, you can have a side of freshly washed fruit with no effort at all! (seriously she’s so cute. And her squinty eyed smile just makes me want to squeeze her and never let her go!)
Fighting Disease
Micronutrients is the cure for disease and is our battle ax for defending wellness! For years I preached it was all about macronutrients for the most muscle gains. But I’ll yell it to the end of the world that I was wrong. Micronutrients matter. I can tell you that every time I consciously choose a nutrient dense food, I feel proud. Like I’m the one making the changes to feel better! Anyone with me? What change will you are each day? Make it simple please, because this girl can’t handle complicated anymore 🤣
